2021 is gone!

Mary Whitman - 1/2/2022

We managed to make it through another year. We've gotten new bar stools, new high top tables, gotten the floors done. Our canteen is looking pretty good these days. Of course, some things still need a bit of work.

Covid has hit us pretty hard but like the troopers we are, we are overcoming that obstacle. Even with the closings we managed to donate to many veterans and veterans organizations. Toys for Tots was a huge success this year with the aid of our members and their affiliations. Voice of Democracy took a hit this year with no entries, but we have a Patriots Pen entry going to district. We sent aid with our County Council to the victims of the tornadoes. We participated in Sailor Salute this year with Mona Shores High School.

We've also had some open to the public licenses that went very well. New Years Eve Party, Comedy Night, Halloween Party, and Thanksgiving Dinner.

Memorial Day Ceremonies with flag decorations happened this year with our friends from VFW Post 9388.

You can be proud of being a part of a well functioning VFW.

Future endeavors this coming year include fish fries starting January 14th. Comedy Night is coming January 29th to include a Taco Dinner prior to the show. A Super Bowl Party February 13th, complete with another large screen TV in the canteen.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with dinners, planning, clean up, and moral support. Auxiliary meetings are the third Monday of the month and Post meetings are the third Thursday of the month.

Attend, get involved, and join the fun!

We can out do 2021 and make 2022 even better.
